The Fluorescence Explorer (FLEX) will measure the faint fluorescence emitted by vegetation as it absorbs sunlight. Its Fluorescence Imaging Spectrometer will help scientists assess plant health, photosynthetic activity, and the effects of environmental change across the globe.
