Gaganyaan-1 is the first uncrewed orbital test flight in ISRO's Gaganyaan program. The flight is intended to validate the human-rated launch vehicle, crew module re-entry and recovery, life-support and escape-system readiness, and the ground/sea recovery chain before people fly.
