Gateway PPE and HALO are the foundational NASA lunar-orbit elements that will provide power, propulsion, habitation, and logistics.

The Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) and the Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) are the foundational elements of NASA’s Gateway lunar-orbiting outpost. PPE provides power, high-speed communications, attitude control, and solar-electric propulsion, while HALO provides pressurized living space, docking, and command-and-control functions.
