HTV-X2 is the second flight of JAXA's new unmanned cargo transfer spacecraft. It is planned to carry supplies and experiment hardware to the International Space Station and demonstrate the automated docking technology prepared for the HTV-X2 mission. After its ISS logistics role, the HTV-X design also supports in-orbit technology demonstrations.
