Jupiter is the solar system's largest planet, a hydrogen-helium world whose gravity has redirected comets, accelerated spacecraft, and shaped the architecture of everything around it. Its cloud tops hide liquid and metallic hydrogen around a diffuse heavy-element core.

The Great Red Spot is a centuries-old storm that extends more than 200 miles (350 kilometers) beneath the cloud tops.
