The farthest planet, running the fastest winds.
Neptune is the densest giant planet and the only one discovered through mathematics before direct observation. Its deep blue atmosphere, internal heat, violent storms, and captured moon Triton make it much more active than its distance from the Sun suggests.

Neptune was predicted from disturbances in Uranus's orbit before it was identified in a telescope.
Its clouds move faster than 1,200 miles per hour (2,000 kilometers per hour), the strongest winds measured on a planet.
Triton orbits backwards, strong evidence that Neptune captured it from the Kuiper Belt.
